Nick Lauren grew up in the Northwest, Spokane to be exact, and at age 18 had a group called the RB project, along with bass player Ken Martello, and were very popular in the Northwest area. The RB project toured with Jose Feliciano, and John Mayall doing the Northwest college circuit. Nick moved to New York and formed a band called Jam. they were fortunate to get signed to Seymour Steins Sire London Records. The Jam recorded two singles Lovin Kind Of Ways and Somethin Gone, and a third single called Keep On Tryin. These songs received a considerable amount of airplay, and as a result Jam toured around the New York Northeast area. 

Nick moved on and got signed to Paramount Records,with his new group, out of the New England area, called Shakey Legs. He did two albums, the 2nd one was never released, Shakey Legs got a lot of attention in the Northeast area, with their 2 hits Back In Line and Dirty Dog Woman. Shakey Legs toured, and was the opening act for Edgar Winters White Trash Band. Nick then got signed to MCA Publishing, as a staff writer, and toured whenever possible.

Nick took over the keyboard slot for a group called Cactus (Atlantic Records) and was opening act for Joe Cocker and Led Zepplin. Nick played keyboard, for the great Joe Simon AKA Drowin In The Sea Of Love and continued to do the Chitlin circuit for a while. Nick then moved on to Las Vegas, and joined a lounge group, called Jones. They were the house band at the Stardust Hotel for years. Nick now lives in Miami Florida, and is releasing his latest CD called Blue Eyed Soul. It contains some of his best work. Nick is now writing and performing in the South Florida area.
